How alimony is calculated in New York

NY formula: (30% of payor gross) − (20% of recipient gross) ÷ 12 = monthly amount. Income capped at $203,000 per NY DRL §236B. Duration: 50% of marriage length for marriages under 15 years, 60% for 15–20 years.

Child Support

How child support is calculated in New York

NY Child Support Standards Act (CSSA). Combined parental income after FICA deduction × CSSA percentage (17% for 1 child, 25% for 2, 29% for 3, 31% for 4, 35% for 5+). Child support continues until age 21 in NY.
